Campground Rules
Mountain View Campground is a privately owned and operated gated campground. The following rules are established for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all campers and are subject to change at owners discretion. Campers disregarding rules may be subject to dismissal without refund. The management reserves the right to prohibit or eject any party at any time without refund. All guests and visitors of guests must be registered or will be considered trespassing on private property. No refund for early departures. Thank you for your cooperation.

ALL GUESTS MUST REGISTER UPON ARRIVAL!
Opening the gate for unauthorized/unregistered people or vehicles is strictly prohibited.
All persons entering campground must be registered at the office. Sites found with unregistered persons will be charged a violation fee or asked to leave the campground immediately.
SITE OCCUPANCY: LIMIT of 6 people registered per site at all times (including visitors, see visitor policy below). Exception made for larger immediate families only, please contact us prior to booking.
SPEED LIMIT: 5 M.P.H. throughout the park. Drive slowly and with caution.
VEHICLES & PARKING: ONE vehicle included per site. Second vehicle for fee, LIMIT 2 cars per site.
Each vehicle must be registered and will be issued a parking/gate pass that must be visibly displayed. Cars must be parked at assigned site. No blocking other sites, roadways or parking on vacant sites. VERY LIMITED overflow parking is available for second vehicle and space cannot be guaranteed. If bringing a tow dolly or car trailer, it must be parked on campsite.
Parking/gate pass must be returned to the office or after hours drop box upon departure. Lost or unreturned passes subject to a $10 fee.
Gate pass is for the REGISTERED VEHICLE ONLY. DO NOT use your issued gate pass to open gate for any other vehicle!
FIRES: FIRE RINGS MAY NOT BE MOVED! Fires in designated rings or those approved by management only. A burn spot left on grass will be charged a site damage fee. Maintain fires at a safe level and do not leave fire unattended. Please make sure fires are fully extinguished upon check-out. All fires must be out by 12:00 AM (midnight).
FIREWOOD: Per VT state law, firewood may not be transported into the state to prevent the spread of insect infestations. DO NOT bring firewood from over a 50 mile radius. Buy it where you burn it! Local kiln dried firewood is available for sale in the camp store.
NO CUTTING OR DISFIGURING OF TREES! Help us keep the trees healthy and growing for everyone to enjoy!
CHILDREN: Parents are responsible for the conduct of their children at all times. All minors must be on campsite by dark or under direct adult supervision. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the camp store and while using campground games/amenities. Bicycle riding permitted on roads only, no biking after dusk.
*Persons under 18 years old are not allowed to camp or be on property without adult supervision.*
PETS: Friendly, non-aggressive dogs and indoor cats are welcome. They must be leashed when outside and under the control of an adult owner at all times. Pets may not be left unattended outside, use of pet fencing is not allowed. The dog park is the designated off-leash, fenced area for you to enjoy with your dog(s). Please pick up after your pet immediately! Pets are not allowed in the pool areas or buildings; dog fee applies for cabins.
Current Rabies vaccinations required. Aggressive behavior or excessive barking is not tolerated.
TRASH & RECYCLING: Please dispose of trash & recycling in designated dumpsters, do not leave behind at site. DO NOT BURN TRASH. Dumpsters may not be used to dispose of large items such as grills, furniture, carpets, electronics, appliances, tires or metal.
*We collect returnable bottles and cans – all proceeds are donated to NCAL, the local animal shelter!
PROHIBITED!!!: Use of Drones & RC Vehicles, Firearms, Weapons, Fireworks, Generators and Golf Carts/ATV’s are prohibited on the property.
No patio mats/carpets on grass. No pet fencing.
No washing cars or RV’s.
No EV charging permitted, $50 violation fine.
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF YOUR NEIGHBORS!
Do not walk, bike through or park on other campsites, even if unoccupied. Keep noise and music to a respectful volume at all times. Keep all items contained to assigned site area.
POOLS: SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Do not swim alone. No lifeguards provided.
Children must be supervised by an adult at the river and pools.
Hours: 10AM – DUSK
HOT TUB: For ADULTS 18 & over ONLY.
Shower before entering and observe specific rules posted on the pool premises.
Hours: 12noon – 9PM
BATHHOUSE: Code is required for access to showers and laundry rooms. Treat bathrooms, showers and laundromat with care. Please report any problems to the office. No dogs or washing dishes in restrooms. Quarter exchange for laundry machines is available at the store.
SITE STANDARDS:
- All RV’s and vehicles must be in operable and visibly good condition.
- Sites should be kept clean, neat and free of trash and clutter.
- All items, camping unit and vehicle must be contained to the site area.
- One RV camping unit per site, no tent or car camping.
- Pets may never be left unattended outside, pet fencing is not allowed.
- Leave campsite as clean as you found it, take all trash to dumpsters.
- NO PATIO MATS/CARPETS ON GRASS!!
- VT state law: All sewer hose connections must be sealed! Grey or waste water may not be released on the ground.

RV Site Rate includes: the RV, ONE vehicle and up to 2 adults and 2 children, age 17 & under.
Site Occupancy: Limit of 6 people total registered per site at all times and 2 cars.

Day Visitor Policy
Day Visitor Entry Fee: $5.oo per person
Visitor Policies: Registered overnight camping guest must pre-register day visitors at the office. We do not admit any unregistered visitors we (or the camping guest) are not expecting. Visitors may only arrive during office hours and will not be admitted any later than 7pm. Visitors must register upon arrival, pay applicable fees, obtain parking pass for vehicle and park as directed. Day Visitors must depart by 9pm. Access to all campground amenities is included with day visitor pass. LIMIT of 6 people TOTAL registered per site at all times, including both overnight guests and day visitors unless prior authorization granted by owners. Visitors only admitted if space exists and pre-registered by the camper.
Reservation & Cancellation Policies:
Payment in full is collected at time of reservation. Reservations can be made by online booking for each camping season beginning in early January of that year. Camping season is mid May to early October.
Cancellation Policy:
We look forward to your staying with us, but understand that plans may change. If you should need to cancel, we ask that you give as much notice as possible, and understand that the following policies are agreed to at the time of booking and will apply.
- *Online booking fee and optional site lock fees are non-refundable.*
- Cancellation with 14 or more days’ notice prior to check-in time of arrival date will be refunded minus $25 cancel fee, $50 for cabin rentals and $100 for any reservation of 14 or more nights.
- Cancellation with at least 3 days/72 hours’ notice prior to check-in time of arrival date, refunded minus cancellation fee of 50% of total site fee; and
- Cancellation with less than 72 hours’ notice prior to check-in time of arrival date & no shows, non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Holiday Cancellations: Reservations over holiday periods require 14 days’ notice from arrival date for a refund minus a cancellation fee equal to one night; and less than 14 days from arrival date, holiday periods are non-refundable.
Holiday Periods, 2025 include:
Memorial Day Weekend (5/23-26),
Independence Day (7/3-7),
Labor Day Weekend (8/29-9/1) and
FALL FOLIAGE SEASON (Sept 20th – closing day, Oct 13th).
*Holiday cancellation policy applies during these periods.*
Other Reservation Policies:
- Changes: With at least 14 days’ notice from arrival date, a change for equal number of nights will incur no change fee (one time only and based on availability). Rates will update to that of the time of change, any resulting balance will be charged at time of change. Changes within 14 days of arrival date and ANY change that shortens the length of stay are subject to the cancellation policy, a minimum $25 change/cancel fee will apply.
- No Shows – Reservation will be considered a no show if guest has not arrived or otherwise contacted us by 12pm, NOON the day after scheduled arrival. At that time, reservation will be forfeited with no refund, site will not be held.
- Site Lock/Pick your Site: Reservations are accepted by and guarantee a type of site (Deluxe, Prime or Standard). A specific site number is not guaranteed UNLESS LOCKED. Site lock is OPTIONAL, fee is non-refundable.
- No refund for early departures.
- Two night minimum for advance reservations.
- Holidays, select dates or specific sites/cabin rentals may require a 3 or more night reservation at management discretion.
- One night reservations are typically made available 7-14 days in advance of the date and taken at that time based on availability.
- RV Sites: Max 28 night reservation.
- Cabins: Max 14 night reservation.
- We do not offer (new) seasonal sites, month to month or winter storage.

FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Reservations become available to book (online only) in early January for that years camping season. Specific date will be posted on the website each year after we close in October. Phone reservations available beginning in May.
The town of Stowe is about a 20 min drive from the campground. It is a must see destination and we definitely recommend spending some time there! The town of Morrisville is very close, only about 5 min away and offers just about anything you could need during your stay – grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, restaurants & breweries! (See our Explore page)
We are not offering any new seasonal sites and do not offer monthly rates/month to month. RV sites have a 28 night maximum stay, nightly/weekly rates. Cabins, 14 night max.
RV site reservations are accepted by Site Type (Standard, Deluxe, etc). The site lock/pick your site feature IS OPTIONAL and allows guests to select and guarantee a specific site number.
This optional booking feature incurs a fee per reservation and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of cancellation or changes. If you have a favorite site or a group that would like to be guaranteed to be located all together, this may be for you! Otherwise, you can just book by site type and the site number will be assigned to you at check-in.
Yes! Friendly dogs are very welcomed at Mountain View Campground. Rentals are also pet friendly (up to 2, dogs only) with pet fee.
An off-leash dog park and pick up stations are provided. They must be leashed when outside and under the control of an adult owner at all times. Pets may not be left unattended outside, use of pet fencing is not allowed. Please pick up after your pet immediately! Pets are not allowed in the pool areas or buildings.

We strongly encourage reservations but yes last minute walk-ins are accepted DURING OFFICE HOURS ONLY and based on availability. We recommend reserving online (cutoff time is 5pm for same day arrivals) or calling us during normal office hours to check availability/reserve prior to your arrival.
Again, we encourage securing a reservation ahead of time, no walk-ins after office closes.
Advance reservations usually require a 2 or more night minimum. Holidays, select periods or specific sites/rentals may require a 3 or more night minimum at management discretion.
One night reservations are typically made available on a rolling basis (about 7-14 days) in advance of the date and taken at that time based on availability.

We do not offer this. All of our RV sites offer full hook-ups and our services and amenities are for registered overnight camping guest only. We can recommend Elmore State Park or Gold Brook Campground as nearby parks that may offer this service. (CALL THEM FIRST FOR DETAILS!)
The camping season is mid May to mid October. We typically close for the season on the second Monday of October. We DO NOT offer any winter camping. Deluxe Cabin Rentals are available in winter time, Nov-March – see more info here.
No, we do not offer any RV storage services at any time of year. Only current seasonal campers are permitted to store their RV on site during the winter months.
Unfortunately, we do not offer gift certificates at this time. Existing unexpired gift certificates or credits will of course be honored but are not redeemable during online booking. Please email or call for assistance booking with these.
